Kiriyama Kancho performs the monthly sacred fire ritual in front of Shinsei-Busshari, or the authentic Buddha’s relics, to pray for the progress of ascetic training for the members of Agon Shu as well as attaining liberation from one’s innen. The services are held for wish-fulfillment prayers as well as sending the restless and anguished spirits to the path of Jobutsu or Buddhahood.

Following the services, Kiriyama Kancho holds dharma talks. Each and every member of Agon Shu should participate in this monthly service. The services are held on the last Saturday and Sunday of every month, and are held simultaneously throughout Japan via Agon Shu’s satellite.
